Responsibilities would involve the following: Undertakes specific activities associated with the collection of refuse from domestic and business premises, by walking, picking up and loading refuse bags into refuse vehicles, cleaning spilled waste, cleaning sidewalks, and refuse bins, and other duties as requested from time to time.

Responsibilities would involve the following: Co-ordinates and controls the application of procedures associated with the vehicle testing, by: checking details of application received against identification and / or relevant supporting documents * determining mechanical roadworthiness of all codes of vehicles in accordance with Road Safety and Traffic legislation * completing registers as requested by Traffic Act * maintaining records of applications, reports in accordance with procedures and guidelines directing administrative outcomes * other duties as requested from time to time.

Responsibilities would involve the following: Receiving, processing and recording emergency and non-emergency calls from the public as well as calls from other public safety agencies * initiate emergency responses from fire, police, traffic, ambulance and other emergency services whilst operating a variety of computer aided dispatch (CAD) and communications equipment * monitor direct emergency alarms, CCTV surveillance screens, public safety radio frequencies * perform related duties as assigned for an entire shift on a rotating schedule for the CCTV Surveillance Centre.

Repair work on the main water supply to Caledon

URGENT MESSAGE to CALEDON Residents and Businesses:

Overberg Water will do urgent repair work on their main water supply to Caledon from 24 until 27 April 2017.  PLEASE use water sparingly and keep enough water as an precautionary measure.  During these 4 days Caledon will receive no water from Overberg Water.  Reservoirs will be filled on the 23rd.  Existing capacity normally lasts only for 3 days!  PLEASE use water only for emergency household purposes.

DRINGENDE BOODSKAP aan CALEDON Inwoners en Besighede:

Overberg Water gaan dringende herstelwerk vanaf 24 tot 27 April 2007 aan hul hoof water toevoer na Caledon doen.  Gebruik ASSEBLIEF water spaarsamig en hou genoeg water in voorraad as ‘n voorkomende maatreël.  Gedurende die 4 dae sal Caledon geen water van Overberg Water ontvang nie.  Reservoirs sal op die 23ste volgemaak word.  Die huidige kapasiteit is normaalweg slegs vir 3 dae voldoende!  Gebruik water ASSEBLIEF slegs vir noodsaaklike huishoudelike gebruik.
