Description

Town Planner

Description

The most eligible candidate must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Town and Regional Planning and be registered with SACPLAN (proof must accompany application). Two (2) – Three (3) years relevant experience. A valid Code B driver’s license. MUNICIPAL MANAGER

Description

The Municipal Manager must interact closely with the Mayor, Executive Committee and Councilors, and will be accountable for the proactive initiation, development and implementation of a sustainable, performance-driven administration.

Description

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a Senior Certificate with mathematics or accountancy as subjects with 5 years’ experience relevant to the below responsibilities within SCM or related environment, or a three (3) year Diploma or Degree with accountancy and or economics with 3 years’ experience relevant to the below responsibilities within a SCM or related environment. Must be computer literate. Good communication skills in at least two (2) of the three official languages of the Western Cape, namely English, Afrikaans and Xhosa. Good human relations. Description

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of an Information Technology Diploma or Degree or any other relevant Diploma or Degree with 5 years’ experience in assigned area of expertise in line function management. A valid driver’s license. The eligible candidate must also have strategic planning and leadership skills, the ability to analyze and solve problems. Strategic planning and leadership skills is important. Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills is critical with the ability to adhere to deadlines and work under extreme pressure. Effective communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) official languages in the Western Cape, namely English, Afrikaans and Xhosa. The successful candidate if not already compliant with the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels will be allowed 18 months from date of appointment to comply with the said regulations.

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a Grade 12 and Examiner of Vehicles Diploma and (3) to four (4) years’ experience. Description

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate with a three (3) year tertiary qualification in one of the following building environment related fields: Construction Management; Building; Quantity Surveying; Architecture OR Grade 12 with Certificate (Red Seal) in Building (Bricklaying / Carpentry/Plumbing) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within in a local authority and/or a minimum of 2 years construction site experience OR A minimum of 3 years within a local authority and/or a minimum of 3 years construction site experience.
