Salary: Post level T17 – Between R542 100.00 p.a. and R703 668.00 p.a. plus a travel allowance of R10 219.76 per month under certain conditions.
Responsibilities would involve the following : Manage the daily and on-going functioning of the budget, Assets & Insurance and cost & financial viability departments * authorize and approve specific agreements for settlement of debt within the limits prescribed * authorize short term investment funds * verify compliance with procedure and make the necessary corrective measures * manage council’s assets, budget office and costing & financial viability * reporting in terms of MFMA as well as national and provincial treasury * developing policies * compiles financial statements and annual budgets* oversee the design and application of internal controls * provide leadership around annual audit preparation tasks * analyzing audit findings and investigational reports * develop financial models to raise sufficient funds * other duties as requested from time to time.
