MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE: DRIVERS LICENSE RIVIERSONDEREND TRAFFIC

Closing Date: 22 June 2018
Salary: Post level T9 – Between: R173 712.00 p.a. and R225 444.00 p.a.

Responsibilities would involve the following: Supervise DLTC section and ensure that processes are implemented in terms of the Road Traffic Act and National Road Traffic Act and NaTIS * eye testing on the LEU eye testing equipment * testing of the learner license classes * maintain the booking system on NaTIS regarding the learner licenses * maintain a quality control system to ensure that all documents are kept at the DLTC * managing and controlling the maintenance of the equipment * managing and controlling the daily operations of the DLTC * compile monthly reports * Issuing of public transport support letters and inspection of public transport vehicle markings * investigate complaints * control traffic * impounding of vehicles * present road safety awareness and educational programs * do speed monitoring and enforcement * ensure traffic law enforcement and do administration * patrolling and observing streets and identify non-conforming practices * ensure that inconvenience and /or risks to safety are minimized through efficient handling of traffic congestions / bottlenecks * complete specific reports, statutory documents and registers * ensure compliance with Laws and By-Laws * Assist with disasters emergency situations * promoting a safe work environment * speed law enforcement * ensure that monthly statistics are forwarded to Province in terms of the relevant legislation * other duties as requested from time to time.
